Newborn Hearing Screen Specialist

About the Role:
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings to identify potential hearing disorders.
- Provide education to new parents on the importance of hearing screens and the results.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to confirm or reschedule outpatient appointments as needed.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and training new staff members.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Computer proficiency and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to work on weekends and national holidays.
- Flexibility to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
