HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO is seeking an experienced CNC Machining Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in set-up and operation of CNC Turning, Multi-Axis lathes, and other Turning equipment.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a machine shop or CNC machining environment, with a focus on producing high-precision component parts that meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC Lathes (2-axis and multi-axis) (e.g. Eurotech, Hardinge, etc.)
- Work with blueprints, operation sheets, and other work instructions to complete machining operations
- Perform complex set-ups of own work or for others
- Maintain machinery, perform routine maintenance, and keep work areas clean and organized
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical school training a plus
- At least 3 years of set-up experience; experience with aerospace products and/or close tolerance parts a plus
- Familiarity with Fanuc and/or Okuma Controls
- Ability to read and write comments, understand operation sheets/blueprints, specifications, and company paperwork
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
