Job Summary:
The Radiology Technician is a certified healthcare professional who, under the supervision of an authorized practitioner, is dedicated to utilizing the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective application of ionizing radiation in diagnostic radiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather patient clinical history and relevant laboratory results, ensuring documentation is accessible for licensed practitioners.
  • Position and stabilize patients to optimally showcase the anatomical area of interest, while considering patient comfort and capability.
  • Implement radiation safety principles to minimize exposure for patients, self, and others.
  • Conduct radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment and related accessories effectively.
  • Confirm informed consent and complete necessary pre- and post-procedure documentation.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiographic procedures, applying appropriate aseptic techniques as required.

Education Requirements:
Associate's degree from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institution is preferred.

Licensing & Certifications:
  • ARRT Certification and Registration (mandatory).
  • State Licensure (preferred, unless mandated by state regulations).
  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required prior to direct patient care).

Experience:
Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in radiation safety and patient care, along with familiarity with Radiology Information Systems.
