We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at WellStreet Urgent Care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for X-Ray exams and perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures.
  • Operate modality specific and technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
  • Review patient history and share observations with Providers.
  • Use critical thinking principles in making decisions while following company policies.
  • Minimize patients' exposure to radiation during X-Ray Imaging through shielding techniques and careful positioning.
  • Respond to patient and pharmacy phone consultations, documenting appropriately in EMR.
  • Manage and schedule patients' appointments as needed.
  • Collaborate with team on data and achieving length of stay goals for patient satisfaction and departmental goals.
  • Assist with administrative and registration functions, when not performing radiological examinations.
  • Accurately edit claims for modifiers in compliance with CMS, AMA, and CPT coding guidelines.
  • Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatment.
  • Perform triage and obtain vital signs.
  • Obtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collect routine laboratory specimens, urinalysis and/or oral swabs.
  • Train and assist with Occupational Medicine service line utilizing EMR system, drug screening, breath alcohol testing, and/or abiding by systems and/or protocols set forth by WellStreet.
  • Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackers.
  • Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists credentials in Radiography (R).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and patient management skills.
  • Ability to use EMR, PACS and basic knowledge of computer programs.
