Job Overview:

CentraState Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Associate to join our environmental services team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing a variety of housekeeping functions, including mopping, dusting, sanitizing, wiping, scrubbing, buffing, and other manual jobs on floors, walls, beds, furniture, fixtures, etc. They will also be responsible for cleaning and preparing resident rooms and discharge areas according to hospital protocols, operating floor-cleaning machinery to maintain hard flooring and carpets, collecting and disposing of regular and medical wastes at the loading dock, replenishing soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies as needed, and maintaining housekeeping carts and equipment.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: One year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with OR cleaning experience preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to understand oral/written instructions in English, knowledge of proper PPE and OR attire, ability to operate equipment, and strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Competitive Salary: $48,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
