Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Specialist to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Operate and maintain plant equipment, including conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins, to ensure optimal production levels and product quality.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment and document any issues or repairs required.
  • Monitor and review plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow of materials and maintain certified products.
  • Document and record information, including production schedules and maintenance activities.
  • Assist with maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and other minor repairs throughout the plant.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
  • A basic understanding of the aggregate industry is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
