About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance shop and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and train staff to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of vehicles and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports to justify schedule, budget, and staffing levels.
  • Prioritize and accomplish required work within established standards using excellent leadership skills.
  • Effectively problem-solve equipment repair and wear issues.
  • Provide constructive feedback and training to equipment users to extend equipment life or safety.
  • Perform hands-on inspections, repair, preventive maintenance, and replacement of vehicles and equipment.
  • Improve financial status of shop operations by decreasing downtime, cost containment, and forecasting.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team in diesel vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Current Wisconsin Commercial Drivers License (Class B), preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to effectively utilize systems involved in solid waste management, hauling, and disposal.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
