About the Role:
At Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients in need of rehabilitation services. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in our interdisciplinary team, working with individuals who require specialized support to regain their communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions in alignment with physician directives and established care plans.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust strategies to meet rehabilitation goals.
- Coordinate patient discharge planning, ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development.
- Assist in budget planning, focusing on cost efficiency within the department.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Possession or eligibility for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state.
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
Compensation: Starting at $50 per hour.
