Job Title: Youth Counselor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team at the Children's Home of Reading Youth & Family Services. As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, support, and supervision to residents in our Mathom House & Easton Manor Programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to residents, promoting their emotional and behavioral well-being.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and case managers to develop and implement residential behavioral goals.
  • Actively supervise residents during academic instruction, recreational activities, and community outings.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) and reports to track residents' progress.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of college in a social or human services related field OR: High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years working with youth.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Must pass criminal history (including FBI) and child abuse history clearances.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
