Position Summary:

The Pharmacist is responsible for delivering thorough pharmaceutical care to patients at Central Carolina Hospital. This includes providing drug information, monitoring therapeutic drug levels, adjusting dosages for renal function, facilitating therapeutic interchange, converting IV medications to oral forms, and educating patients about their medications. The Pharmacist serves as a vital resource for the healthcare team regarding medication therapy and promotes the safe use of medications. Responsibilities also include ensuring that prescribing, dispensing, administration, and monitoring practices align with established safety protocols.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required, while a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred. Experience in a hospital or similar pharmacy environment is advantageous. Proficiency in computer skills is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

Licensure and Certification:

NCBOP Pharmacist Licensure is required, along with BCLS certification in accordance with Central Carolina Hospital policies.
