Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Ministry Preschool Teacher to join our team at Lakewood Church. As a key member of our Children's Ministry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ministry to children in the Preschool area, ages Three to Five years/Kindergarten.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minister to Children: Teach, guide, and comfort children in a classroom setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Teach the assigned curriculum with enthusiasm and engage all children in the assigned area at their developmental stage.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure quality ministry is taking place in the assigned classroom or role, adhering to established Child Safety & Emergency protocols.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to provide a positive experience for parents and children.
  • Professional Development: Attend all KidsLife team meetings, staff meetings, and area trainings to maintain a high level of dependability and reliability.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months experience volunteering, daycare, or teaching experience; one year preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to children of all ages, parents, volunteers, and staff in positive ways.
  • Personal Qualities: Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church's vision, values, and core beliefs; demonstrate a Christ-like character; passionate about serving and ministering to families, volunteers, and staff.
Work Environment

The work schedule will typically be up to 20 hours/week, with the potential for 28 hours due to special events as needed.
