Reporting To: Production Supervisor
Position Summary: We are looking for a committed and dependable Production Machine Operator for the 3rd shift. The successful candidate will be tasked with operating and maintaining production machinery to transform raw materials, such as cotton and fibers, into finished goods. This role is vital for ensuring the efficiency and smooth operation of our production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee production machinery following established operating procedures.
- Load raw materials (cotton, fibers, etc.) into machines and monitor the production workflow.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure peak performance.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot and address minor mechanical issues to reduce downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document and report production metrics, including output, quality control results, and machine performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production goals and deadlines.
- Assist with additional tasks as necessary to support overall production activities.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Physical stamina and capability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift hours (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM).
Working Conditions:
- This role involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- The position requires standing, bending, and lifting for prolonged periods.
