Position Summary
The Lot Marker/Striper will engage in physically demanding tasks that involve measuring, remarking, and laying out parking lot spaces, characters, numbers, and stencils using specialized striping machinery. The individual in this role will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining all striping equipment, ensuring operational efficiency, and performing minor repairs as necessary. A solid understanding of the company's operations and expertise in striping preparation and installation is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to ADA regulations concerning parking lot layouts.
- Set up and layout stencils while measuring parking lots according to work orders.
- Manage traffic flow around work zones safely.
- Review equipment operation manuals thoroughly.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent for project assignments.
- Handle the loading and unloading of paint supplies.
- Utilize mechanical striping machines to apply paint accurately.
- Ensure paint application meets manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness at job sites.
- Lead bi-weekly safety meetings and conduct crew briefings.
- Participate in safety protection activities both personally and in the field.
- Navigate to various work sites efficiently.
- Support other fieldwork activities and help maintain warehouse conditions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven knowledge of the company's operations and expertise in striping preparation and installation.
- Ability to perform calculations related to measurements, weights, areas, and volumes.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in parking lot striping and layouts is required.
