Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language skills to students in a secondary setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching ESL and experience working with urban students.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver data-driven, standards-aligned lessons to students
  • Establish and maintain a supportive and productive learning environment
  • Monitor and communicate student progress to parents and colleagues
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices
Qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching ESL in an urban setting
  • Training and experience with culturally relevant education
  • Minimum of two years' successful teaching experience
  • New York State teacher certification in English as a Second Language
