Position Overview

The role of a TIG Welder is a full-time position primarily focused on day shifts. Compensation is negotiable based on the candidate's experience level.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Interpreting and comprehending fabrication blueprints
  • Accurately laying out materials, assembling components for fit-up, and preparing for welding
  • Executing welding tasks that adhere to the highest standards of AWS and client specifications
  • Completing assembly tasks as required
  • Conducting repetitive welding operations on standard weldments in accordance with established procedures
  • Utilizing part drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns for guidance
  • Collaborating with in-process and final inspection teams
  • Fulfilling necessary documentation to track parts throughout the process
  • Operating various tools including pneumatic hand grinders, basic hand tools, overhead cranes, welders, pedestal grinders, resistance welders, vise clamps, and drills
  • Demonstrating experience in welding a variety of materials, predominantly metal
  • Possessing extensive knowledge of GTAW and other welding techniques and equipment
  • Being accountable for welding intricate assemblies that meet customer requirements
  • Setting up welding fixtures and tooling to prepare for complex assembly welding
Candidate Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the fabrication sector is required
  • Ability to pass various welding tests
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent educational background
  • Proficiency in advanced mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Capability to achieve weld certification on projects
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with colleagues and supervisors
  • Ability to read and interpret operational documents and follow complex instructions
  • Provision of employment verification within the last 3 years along with job references
  • Experience in both MIG and TIG welding is preferred
