Position Summary:

We are in search of candidates with over 5 years of experience as an Engineer or Project Engineer, particularly those knowledgeable in heavy construction disciplines, including highways, bridges, deep foundations, water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, industrial electrical systems, marine projects, and industrial facilities. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong initiative, exceptional planning and problem-solving skills, effective interpersonal abilities, and a steadfast commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, coordinate, submit, and track all project-related documentation.
  • Conduct construction design tasks, including form/pour drawings, major pick plans, and layout of pipe/equipment/conduit.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other geographical data to plan projects effectively.
  • Oversee project costs and performance in collaboration with field personnel to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Generate and manage job cost reports for all assigned projects.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Track and submit claims as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing schedules and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices, OSHA regulations, equipment, and quality assurance/control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel locally (within 1-2 hours).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in marine construction is advantageous.
