Hotel Security Officer Job Description

The Hotel Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the hotel's assets, guests, and employees. This role involves searching for, responding to, and handling any security problems, issues, concerns, and disaster emergency situations in accordance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol all areas of the hotel property, including outside parking lots, to identify and address any security concerns.
  • Document a daily log of security incidents, including theft, accidents, and safety violations.
  • Complete security forms to document losses of property or personal injury to guests or employees.
  • Maintain familiarity with hotel disaster and emergency policies, procedures, and regulations, and respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help.
  • Conduct investigations of security incidents and enforce the hotel's 'No Solicitation Policy'.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations is critical.
  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills are necessary.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record are necessary.
