Primary Care Physician Role

We are seeking an exceptional Primary Care Physician to join our team at ChenMed, a physician-led and mission-driven primary care organization.
As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading your care team, and working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering innovative and entrepreneurial-minded care, with a strong work ethic and ambition. You will inspire others with your kindness and joy, and be willing to continuously develop and improve your leadership skills.
About the Role- You will independently provide care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, taking full accountability for patient care and outcomes.
- You will lead your care team, consisting of care promoter, care facilitator, and care coordinator, to ensure seamless patient care.
- You will engage with hospitalists and other specialists as needed, while maintaining responsibility for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination.
- Lead your care team to achieve high-quality outcomes and quality measures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on evidence-based medicine, clinical, nutritional, and lifestyle-based interventions to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar specialty required.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar specialty is preferred. Board Eligibility is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current DEA number for schedule II-V controlled substances.
Location: New Orleans, LA
Estimated Salary: $220,000 - $280,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
