Job Title: Instrument Mechanic

At Momentive Performance Materials, we are seeking an experienced Instrument Mechanic to join our team. As an Instrument Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing instrumentation and controls maintenance services for control systems across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, installation, performance testing, and repair for a wide variety of instrument loops and equipment.
  • Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties.
  • Work from a full range of documentation sources, including wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and instructions.
  • Follow and comply with Multi Skill Maintenance Agreements and Quality Maintenance Manual Guidelines.
  • Update equipment records by submitting work order comments, stores modification, etc.
Requirements:
  • Written and verbal skills to communicate and applicable math skills.
  • Ability to pass a qualifying test and maintain journeyman status in instrumentation and controls maintenance services.
  • Ability to read and interpret various types of engineering documentation.
  • Fully qualified instrumentation and control skills with significant training and experience in installation, troubleshooting, testing, calibration, and repair of various types of instruments.
