Job Overview

Pentastar Aviation seeks a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to support the daily needs of our maintenance operations. As a key member of our team, you will ensure an outstanding experience for our customers by providing top-level service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the FAA, manufacturers, pilots, and other Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics and Avionics Technicians to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair business transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity in all aspects of the job.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results and technical documentation.
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the team.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions.
  • Have recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft, with factory or equivalent training on Gulfstream-5 years required.
  • Have experience working under a FAA-approved Part 145 repair station, with Part 135 experience preferred.
  • Hold Inspection Authorization and/or FCC License, if applicable.
  • Be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Have the ability to work with little supervision to troubleshoot and repair systems on aircraft airframe and engine(s), including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic.
  • Be versatile and flexible, with a willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and some international travel expected.
  • Have superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic, with a commitment to excellence.
  • Be vaccinated, as required.
