About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Research Engineer to join our team at the Kentucky Transportation Center. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting multidisciplinary transportation research and working on a broad range of topics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in areas such as highway design, project management, pavement design and maintenance, infrastructure assessment, and construction management.
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop and implement new transportation technologies and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal transportation agencies to identify research needs and opportunities.
  • Communicate research findings and results to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in transportation research or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and other relevant software.
