As a Logistics Technology Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to support both our proprietary and commercially acquired software applications and transportation hardware. You will collaborate closely with transportation office staff, drivers, and IT support to address various user inquiries and challenges. Your role will involve implementing new product features to adapt to the evolving needs of our users, presenting exciting opportunities as technology advances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver application troubleshooting and problem resolution for assigned applications, continuously monitor and resolve application issues, and provide guidance and training to end users.
- Collaborate with IT Development teams and support vendors to resolve system-related issues.
- Oversee client devices, including driver mobile handheld devices and associated accessories.
- Act as a power user and resource for all DTI mobile devices and applications.
- Conduct training sessions for managers, staff, and drivers on the use of mobile devices and related applications.
- Troubleshoot, monitor, research, and test various systems.
- Partner with IT staff to develop new mobile applications for transportation.
- Manage mobile device operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Utilize lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste across all areas of DTI.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience with Dot.
- Strong training, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in transportation operations.
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management.
- Salary range: $50,575 to $75,863 annually, plus bonus potential.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required, with the ability to travel independently by various modes of transportation for customer/vendor meetings, training, or other engagements.
