Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to identify the root causes of substance abuse and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with clients to set and achieve goals, promoting long-term recovery and well-being.
- Facilitate access to community resources, including 12-step programs and support groups.
- Develop and implement cognitive behavioral therapy and relapse prevention strategies to support clients in their recovery journey.
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices in substance abuse treatment.
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of substance abuse treatment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid NC driver's license and personal vehicle insurance
The Substance Abuse Specialist will work primarily in the client's home or community, with occasional office visits. The role requires the ability to work in a variety of settings and adapt to changing circumstances.
Physical DemandsThe position requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands to perform tasks. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
