Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, serve, and present meals in line with the Food Safety Program (FSP), catering to the unique preferences and needs of each resident.
  • Store food appropriately and ensure proper rotation of food items in storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area by adhering to sanitation protocols.
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting requirements of the FSP, such as recording temperatures and completing cleaning schedules.
  • Clean and maintain kitchenware, including crockery and cutlery.
  • Follow the duties outlined in the shift roster.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Food Safety or Food Handling Certificate.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Aged Care is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of State Food Handling regulations/HACCP.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must possess a valid working visa.
  • Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
