Job Summary

The North Dakota Heritage Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Weekend Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our collections, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol exhibit galleries and public spaces to maintain situational awareness and ensure a safe environment
  • Enforce agency rules and regulations, and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of the organization
  • Collaborate with security staff to maintain a high level of safety and security
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the North Dakota Heritage Center
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred
  • Proficient in using computers and other technology
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 35 pounds, and stand for long periods of time
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity, and pass a background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience
  • Background in emergency response, education, or a closely related field
  • Medical emergency experience, including AED, CPR, and first aid certification
  • Experience using two-way radios and other communication devices
