Job Summary

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary: At Cheshire Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a valued member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients and families, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing services to patients and families: Using your expertise and knowledge to deliver personalized care, address patient needs, and support the overall well-being of our patients and their families.
  • Meet or exceed standards of performance: Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, working efficiently, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety in your practice.
  • Review medical records: Verify the availability of current lab, x-ray, or procedure reports for our healthcare providers and complete necessary forms for appointments.
  • Perform computer functions: Accurately manage medication reconciliation, update patient records, perform point-of-care testing, and manage task lists as required.
  • Assist healthcare providers: Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for examinations or procedures, and assist healthcare providers with exams and procedures as needed.
  • Document patient interactions: Accurately record patient interactions, including prescriptions, test results, and nursing advice.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited practical nursing program: A degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • LPN licensure: Must hold an active LPN license in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse is preferred.
  • BLS certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 3 months of hire and maintain it bi-annually.
