Position Overview
Visa's Technology Organization is a collective of innovators and problem solvers redefining the landscape of commerce. The Role:
The Product Reliability Engineering (PRE) Observability team at Visa collaborates with various product development and Operations & Infrastructure teams to design, build, and maintain cutting-edge, reliable, scalable, and secure observability platform solutions to meet the increasing demands of Visa's clientele. We seek skilled, inquisitive, and enthusiastic Staff System Engineers who are eager to address intricate challenges on a global scale. You will join a dedicated team of System Engineers focused on Visa's Logging Platform, taking full ownership of the solutions provided to our clients, with an emphasis on availability, performance, security, and reliability—key elements for the success of the Logging platform. Continuous improvement in processes, technology, tools, and automation is essential in this role. As a passionate engineer, you will thrive in a dynamic environment as part of Agile Scrum teams.

Additional Information:
This position may require travel 5-10% of the time. The role will be conducted in an office environment, necessitating the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment. Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 2+ years with an advanced degree.
• Extensive knowledge of Splunk architecture and components.
• Strong software development skills.
• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting in Splunk.
• Familiarity with container platforms and observability tools.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
