Position Overview:
The Environmental Services Technician - Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of designated areas, including resident rooms, communal spaces, and staff work areas within the facility.

Compensation:
$16.90 per hour, based on experience.

Work Schedule:

Flexible start times are available, with potential shifts including 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Weekend shifts are part of the rotation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster and maintain effective communication with all team members and residents.
  • Uphold a positive representation of the organization within the community, aligning with our mission and values.
  • Provide on-call services as needed.
  • Execute various cleaning duties in skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living areas.
  • Tasks include disinfecting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, waste removal, and cleaning of furniture, windows, and restrooms.
  • Participate in cross-training for various roles within the community.
  • Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks such as wall washing and curtain cleaning.
  • Respond to and clean up spills and accidents promptly.
  • Utilize floor-cleaning equipment and adhere to safety protocols regarding hazardous materials.
  • Stay informed about safety codes and Material Safety Data Sheets for all cleaning areas.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling biohazard materials.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism when interacting with residents and their families.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and take breaks as scheduled.
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with residents and staff.
  • Commitment to delivering quality services and outcomes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and tasks.
  • Willingness to work in environments with frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
