Position SummaryGilead Sciences is seeking a skilled Lead Analytical Scientist to become a part of our Biologics Analytical Operations team. This group leverages advanced technologies to propel medicines into clinical trials. The successful candidate will spearhead analytical initiatives on Pharmaceutical Development & Manufacturing (PDM) project teams and will have ample opportunities for professional advancement in a vibrant environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate analytical processes for biologic compounds in the initial development stages.
- Design and validate analytical methodologies for molecule characterization.
- Uphold data integrity and regulatory compliance throughout testing procedures.
- Remain informed about technological innovations in Analytical Development.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical assistance for manufacturing processes.
- Communicate research outcomes and suggestions to senior management.
- M.S. with 4+ years or B.S. with 6+ years in Analytical Chemistry or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in analytical method development and validation for biologic products.
- Practical experience with LC-MS based biologics characterization.
- Familiarity with FDA and ICH regulatory standards.
- Ability to foster strong collaborations within CMC functions.
- Knowledge of laboratory automation, computer validation, and data governance principles.

The compensation range for this role is competitive and is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
