Job Overview:

This temporary role involves the primary task of gathering angler usage and catch statistics at designated water bodies. Responsibilities include counting anglers, conducting interviews, and identifying various fish species. Familiarity with cold-water fish identification is advantageous. Additional duties may involve assisting with the sampling of aquatic wildlife, documenting data accurately, and entering this information into digital databases. The work schedule will include weekends, holidays, and potentially one or two variable weekdays each week.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Able to commit to a 40-hour work week.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays, along with variable weekdays.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or evenings.
  • Preference may be given to candidates pursuing or holding a degree in Natural Resources or a related field.
  • Previous experience in fish identification, sampling, angling, or public engagement is preferred.
