Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Psychological Screenings and Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological screenings and assessments of offenders to identify their mental health needs.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the mental health needs of offenders.
- Provide Mental Health Services: Provide mental health services to offenders, including counseling, therapy, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with Other Staff: Collaborate with other mental health staff, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for offenders.
- Consult with Other Departments: Consult with other departments, including security and education, to ensure that offenders receive comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology: Must have a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
- License to Practice: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where practice occurs.
- Clinical Experience: Must have at least two years of clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
