We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated TK Instructional Assistant to join our team at Aspire Public Schools. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality, personalized education program for our students.
Key Responsibilities- Support Classroom Teacher(s): Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessments that align with California State Standards and Aspire Instructional Guidelines.
- Student Support: Provide individualized support to students, including differentiated instruction, small group and one-on-one instruction, and intervention and acceleration for students below grade level.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and effective educational experience.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including training sessions and collaboration with lead teachers, principals, and instructional coaches.
- Career Development: Work towards a career as an educator, which may include enrolling in a teacher credential program.
- Education: Associate's degree or successful completion of 48 units of college credit or passing of the Paraprofessional Test. Bachelor's degree in Education, Teaching, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or bend over, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, and pull. Move, lift, and/or carry up to 30 pounds to shoulder height.
