About the Role

Rising Ground is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist - Post Release Services to join our team. As a key member of our Post Release Services (PRS) program, you will play a critical role in supporting Unaccompanied Children (UCs) and their sponsor families as they navigate the transition to life in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a trauma-informed approach in all interactions and interventions with released UCs and sponsor families.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments within 7 days of release to ensure the safety, well-being, and specific needs of each UC.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies and safety plans for UCs and their families during emergencies or critical situations.
  • Engage with stakeholders involved in the UC's case, including schools, legal service providers, and extracurricular activities, to ensure individualized services targeting specific needs.
  • Connect sponsors and UCs to community resources and coordinate essential services related to placement, stability, immigration proceedings, guardianship, legal assistance, education, medical care, mental health services, family counseling, substance abuse support, and gang prevention as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or relevant behavioral science with direct clinical experience.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the relevant field (e.g., LMHC, LMSW).
  • At least two years' experience working with youth in the social service field.
  • Highly proficient in Spanish or have access to qualified interpreters for effective communication.
  • Demonstrates expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and family-centered interventions.
  • Knowledge of child welfare and immigration-related legislation.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experienced with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., MyEvolv).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must.
