Job Overview:

The Senior Financial Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This position is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and providing insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance of the General Ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the Accounting Manager in guiding the Accounts Payable team through daily operations, ensuring invoice accuracy and timely month-end close processes.
  • Conduct thorough account analyses and reconciliations for various financial categories including General & Administrative, Operating Expenses, Capital Expenditures, and more.
  • Manage monthly accruals for accounts payable and credit card expenses.
  • Handle lease accounting and ensure proper accounting for depreciation and amortization.
  • Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for external audits and support audit processes as required.
  • Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience is required.
  • Experience with accounting subledgers and reconciliations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
