About the Role

Roche Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Reagent Validation Associate. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality of our starting materials and reagents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain processes and tests to ensure consistent quality of reagents and starting materials.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems in creative ways, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Forecast reagent needs for critical processes, maintaining an inventory of validated reagents.
  • Work with vendors to negotiate pricing, quality control metrics, and inventory agreements.
  • Contribute to project goals, developing SOPs to test reagent quality and participating in production.
  • Perform data analysis and protocol development, maintaining accurate laboratory records.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, presenting findings at team meetings.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and organization, developing improved processes to fulfill responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience with complex analytical instrumentation.
  • Experience in analyzing diverse compounds for QC, maintaining vendor relationships, and forecasting reagent needs.
  • Mature understanding of chemical and biochemical samples, including sample handling, reactivity, purification, and storage.
  • Technical background in next-generation DNA sequencing, HPLC, MS, NMR, IR, GC, spectroscopy, and manual pipetting.

What We Offer

Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications. Discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. Comprehensive benefits package available.
