Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Technician I to join our team at UNC Health. This role will provide clinical support assistance to patients and healthcare providers in the Neurosurgery / Neurology Acute Care Unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide a variety of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, and maintaining medical records.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, and patient height and weight.
  • Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by the registered nurse or physician and document patient understanding of instructions.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Requires six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience

Work Environment:

This is a 36 hours per week position, working 12-hour rotating shifts with weekend and holiday rotation. The successful candidate will be part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.
