Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in the Tri-State region. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and creating a tranquil environment for examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification
  • Demonstrate competency in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operating related equipment
  • Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information in the computer system
  • Scan according to guidelines and maintain logs
  • Utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination and maintain quality standards
  • Assist in the completion of the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR)
  • Maintain CPR certification and observe patient vital signs during examinations
  • Provide coverage as needed and provide instruction/mentoring to new hires
  • Provide a positive patient experience and maintain communication with radiologists and other physicians
  • Contribute to efficient out-patient operations and meet or exceed deadlines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of course in Ultrasonic Technology
  • RDMS Certification
  • 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • 2+ years of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Demands:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment

Compensation:

The hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more.
