Clinical Internship Program Overview

Casa de la Familia's Clinical Internship Program provides post-graduate students with a comprehensive training experience in clinical psychology. Our program is designed to equip interns with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to work effectively in mental health and social services.

Program Structure

The Clinical Internship Program is a 12-month commitment, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Interns will work closely with our interdisciplinary clinical team to provide individual, family, and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention and case management services.

Training and Supervision

Our program is committed to providing evidence-based training in areas such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, legal aspects of domestic violence and human trafficking, and psychopharmacology. Clinical supervisors are qualified by either the Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology.

Specialized Training

Interns will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as group therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention. Our training structure includes in-house presentations, outside training, and community presentations to further our clinical staff's breadth of knowledge and enrichment.
