We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Research Analyst to join our team at JW Michaels & Co. in New York City. As a key member of our investment research team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth credit research and analysis to identify investment opportunities across the liquid credit universe.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct fundamental bottoms-up research to generate commercial trade ideas across the liquid credit universe, including investment-grade and high-yield bonds, credit default swaps, and other credit securities.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze credit risk and identify potential investment opportunities.
- Monitor existing positions and engage with external relationships to stay up-to-date on market trends and developments.
- Develop differentiated investment views and present investment ideas, reports, and real-time analytics to the investment team.
- Collaborate with the investment team to identify and evaluate investment opportunities and provide research support as needed.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in credit research on either the buy-side or sell-side, with a focus on non-bank financials and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
- Highly developed skills in conducting fundamental credit research, including financial modeling and relative value analysis.
- Expert-level modeling skills to delineate trade outcomes based on market fluctuations and scenarios.
- Ability to express conviction for trades and take calculated risks.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and highly collaborative, with the ability to work autonomously as needed.
