About the Role

Hallsville R-IV School District is currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Substitute School Bus Driver to fill in regular routes as needed. This position will involve driving students to and from school, following a 4-day school week schedule from Tuesday to Friday. As a Substitute School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students on board.

Job Requirements
  • A valid Missouri Driver's License is mandatory;
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL with S and P endorsements is required;
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States and possess excellent communication skills;
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and rules established by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Department of Revenue, State of Missouri, and Hallsville School District is necessary;
  • Experience with student supervision and discipline procedures is an advantage;
  • Maintaining a clean and pleasant demeanor while interacting with students is essential;
  • Daily pre-trip inspections and reporting any mechanical concerns to the Fleet Technician are part of your duties.
Salary Information

This opportunity comes with a competitive salary range estimated at $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Pay is based on per-route compensation, providing flexibility and opportunities for growth.

Work Environment

The work environment for this role is generally moderate, with continuous interaction with staff and the public. Occasional travel to various District buildings or sites may be required.
