Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Manager or FT Days to join our team at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus. As a Nursing Manager or FT Days, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care according to designated standards and practices.
- Assist in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care.
- Establish a mechanism to track customer service performance and take corrective action to address any issues.
- Participate in the development of annual budgets that reflect appropriate expenditures for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage to budget; monitor variances between budgeted and actual expense reports and take action to correct negative variances within appropriate timelines.
- Assist with Kronos/payroll to assure accurate data entry.
- Participate in the interview, selection, and orientation process for new team members in collaboration with nursing management, RN staff, and other team members.
- Complete appropriate reports and institute appropriate measures in the event of an unusual occurrence, e.g., patient fall, medication error, etc.
- Responsible for the containment of department costs and conservation of supplies, equipment, and linen.
- Act and intervene with ethical issues including clinical concerns, sexual and harassment issues, and physician/nurse relations.
- Maintain confidentiality in all department-related issues.
- Evaluate the department/services performance against specified targets and take appropriate actions.
- Participate in committees.
- Maintain a state of continued survey readiness.
- Provide leadership for continued survey readiness team.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona.
- CPR required.
- ACLS as applicable by Facility/Department, PALS/NRP are required for certain clinical areas.
- Minimum of three years relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Preferred experience: two years management/supervisory experience.
