Job Summary

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing leadership to the pharmacy team. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of pharmacy operations, including inventory management, medication ordering, and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize pharmacy operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the pharmacy team, including training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and administration, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze pharmacy operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas.
  • IV certification required or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures, as well as analyze and improve pharmacy operations.
