Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented X-Ray Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our radiology team in retrieving patients for imaging procedures and returning them to their exam rooms. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve patients from exam rooms for imaging procedures
- Return patients to their exam rooms after imaging procedures
- Engage in general communication with patients to ensure a positive experience
- Perform general medical office tasks, including answering calls and communicating with staff via the EMR system
- Assist with release of information in accordance with HIPAA rules
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions
This role requires working in a medical office environment with frequent exposure to patients and medical equipment. The successful candidate will need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
