Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a pivotal role in identifying, coordinating, and executing projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. This position involves the development and implementation of a comprehensive lean transformation initiative designed to yield immediate, measurable outcomes and establish a foundation for ongoing improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with business leaders to select, plan, and coordinate improvement strategies that drive sustainable cost savings and maximize operational efficiencies.
  2. Conduct thorough analyses to identify operational opportunities, including interviews with key personnel and observations of processes.
  3. Prepare detailed proposals for operational enhancement projects, including cost-benefit analyses, for presentation to senior management.
  4. Lead and manage approved improvement initiatives, ensuring they meet established objectives within the designated timeframe and budget.
  5. Calculate and report savings achieved through projects, collaborating with management to finalize the financial impact.
  6. Provide mentorship and support to other project leaders as directed by the Director of Continuous Improvement.
  7. Establish and maintain continuous improvement processes, metrics (KPIs), and tools to support key deliverables in safety, quality, delivery, cost reduction, growth, and innovation.
  8. Act as a change agent, effectively communicating organizational changes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  9. Utilize existing tracking tools and develop new ones to monitor and challenge system performance.
  10. Participate actively in the AAR Safety Management System, reporting safety hazards and incidents encountered during operations.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment:
