Job Summary

As a Banquet Captain at Jungle Jim's, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of events from set-up to tear-down, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our guests. You will work closely with our Executive Chef and culinary team to execute fresh and exciting menus, and assist in attracting new business and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Assist and oversee training of all employees in your department and identify coaching opportunities to help employees continuously improve.
  • Supervise and assist banquet staff as they execute the event.
  • Actively listen to and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
  • Assist Banquet Manager with scheduling and ordering.

Requirements

  • 21 or older
  • Work environment includes continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
  • Schedule may entail nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must pass a required criminal background check.

Preferred Skills

  • 3 years catering or banquet experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service, supervisory, and/or management experience preferred.
  • Basic filing and record-keeping skills.
  • Basic computer, math and data entry skills.
