Rancho Solano Golf Course is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. As a key member of our events team, the Banquet Captain will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets, meetings, and other events.
Key Responsibilities:- Event Planning and Coordination: Work closely with the Sales and Catering Department to plan and coordinate events, including setting up tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and direct the Banquet and set-up staff to ensure that all events are executed to the highest standard.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management to ensure that all events are successful.
- Problem-Solving: Respond to and resolve any operational or guest issues that may arise during events.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and operational procedures of all audio-visual equipment and supplies.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the kitchen, sales, and catering teams to ensure that all events are successful.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and crouch. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
- Qualifications: State required alcohol seller server certification and food handling certification. At least one year Banquet Server experience.
The Banquet Captain will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure the success of events. The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure environment is essential.
Salary and Benefits:The Banquet Captain will receive a competitive salary of $22.00 plus a percentage of service charge. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
