Job Summary

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled Physician - Spinal Cord Injury Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with spinal cord injuries, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of related conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in spinal cord injury care to provide the highest level of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) or a related field.
  • Board certification in PM&R or a related field.
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
