Patient Care Assistant in Texarkana, TX

Overview:
Assists in delivering fundamental patient care under the supervision of nursing personnel, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibits proficiency in the relevant OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Self-Leadership, Leadership of Others, or Leadership of Leaders.
- Responds to patient requests and aids individuals with their dietary needs, personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitors patients' food and fluid consumption, documenting intake accurately.
- Records and tracks patients' vital signs, including temperature and blood pressure, promptly notifying nursing staff of any significant changes.
- Supports nursing staff with medical tasks and assists in wound care.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Preferred: Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
Certifications:
- Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Required: CNA certification in the state of employment.
Work Schedule:
Weekend Option Day Shift
