School Psychologist Position for Elementary Students

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team, supporting the emotional and academic development of elementary students in Naugatuck, CT. This full-time position requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a School Psychologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students in elementary grades to identify their needs and develop strategies for improvement.
- Provide individualized counseling services to support students' mental health and well-being, promoting a positive school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement interventions and accommodations that cater to each student's unique needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports on assessments, counseling sessions, and student progress, ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, working closely with teachers and parents to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Offer consultation and training to school staff on student mental health, behavior management, and academic support, promoting a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology is required, along with active state licensure as a School Psychologist in Connecticut.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in a school setting, is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team is crucial for delivering high-quality services and achieving desired outcomes.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
