Position Overview
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in litigation support.
- Proficient understanding of litigation processes, including e-filings and trial protocols, as well as federal and state court regulations. Familiarity with court filing procedures in additional states is advantageous.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with eDockets and document management systems like iManage is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational abilities, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, demonstrating flexibility, proactivity, resourcefulness, and efficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings and discovery documents for submission and service.
- Coordinate depositions with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and court reporters.
- Organize conference calls and meetings, both on-site and off-site.
- Manage travel arrangements effectively.
- Maintain a calendar of depositions, hearings, trials, and all related deadlines.
- Oversee the Outlook calendar for all appointments, conferences, and meetings.
- Initiate new matters, conduct conflict checks for partner review, and prepare engagement letters.
- Ensure document management and organization, including saving documents and emails to the document management system.
- Become knowledgeable about court rules and filing protocols.
- Prepare cover letters for attorney billing.
- Submit expense reports for attorneys.
- Manage vendor bills, process check requests, and follow up with accounting.
